Restarting Club Activities

After two years of hunkering down during the pandemic, our club is starting meetings and activities.  Since some of our members have full-time jobs, so we are getting "creative" with dates.  For now, we have reserved the Bartram Trail Library's Manatee room for the first Thursday in the months of April-May and September-November.  Guests are welcome, however, please do contact us if you plan to come.  We may have rescheduled the meeting in favor of an outing.

Meetings at the library are subject to the County Library masking requirements.

 

Program Calendar 2018-2019

Meetings are held on the second Thursday in the months of September through May.  The months of November, January, February, March, and April include lecture programs by Master Gardeners and other experts designed to increase participant's knowledge and enjoyment of horticulture, the environment and local history and places. The public is welcome to attend, but we ask that you let us know in advance so we can have enough refreshments for everyone. • October 11, 2018, 10:00 a.m.:  Beluthahatchee Park, a county park and double literary landmark honoring Stetson Kennedy and Woody Guthrie at 1523 State Road 13, Fruit Cove.  Tour guide:  Karen Roumillat. 
• November 8, 2018, 10:00 a.m.: What Part of the Plant are You Eating? by Master Gardener Barbara Purple, Bartram Trail Library 
• December 13, 2018: Christmas Luncheon, TBA (member event)
• January 24, 2019, 10:00 a.m.: All About Community Gardens by Master Gardener Karen Matulina, Bartram Trail Library (this is a date change)
• February 14, 2019, 10:00 a.m.: Propagation of Plants by Master Gardener Karen Van Pernis, Bartram Trail Library 
• March 14, 2019, 10:00 a.m.: Support Your Local Butterfly by Master Gardener Dianne Battle, Bartram Trail Library 
• April 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m.:  Garden Club Planning Meeting.  
•  May, 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m.: End of Year Luncheon, and New Officer Installation (member event)
